Accounting Controller – Construction

Mid-size construction company with a great Philadelphia history is seeking a talented controller for a full-time role. Position recently created in response to strong, ongoing growth.  The selected candidate will possess solid construction related accounting experience coupled with a team-oriented approach. Accounting & Finance Duties

  • Manage all aspects of the financial operation of the business, including payroll, payables, receivables, job cost, and cash management
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and taxing authorities
  • Provide internal financial reports to support management decision making processes
  • Provide financial information to independent accounting firm to support preparation of financial statements
  • WIP and CIP schedules
  • Oversee company financials
  • GMP contracts

Managerial Responsibilities:

  • Participates at senior management level to achieve short- and long-term goals
  • Assist in the selection, implementation, and maintenance of IT based financial management systems
  • Assists in the review of directly managed personnel

  • Departmental performance and operational support
  • Development of staff and systems in support of goals
  • Employee satisfaction
  • Client satisfaction
