Client is an established Manufacturing Company with facilities in multiple locations. This is a newly established role, exciting opportunity for a Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis to perform extensive analysis, create strategic views, work with Product Costing and more. Highly visible position in the CFO organization of this $1 Billion company.


Under the general supervision of the Controller, the Manager FP&A is responsible for leading financial activities for key division wide processes, including Capital Planning, Balance Sheet forecast and Cash Flow projections, P&L, Product Costing and more. This position provides financial leadership and expertise regarding utilization of financial measures, governance and application of corporate policy and procedures, process optimization and internal controls.


  • Serving as the primary business partner to support the local plant and division - achieving strategic performance priorities and financial targets
  • Effectively creating, interpreting and communicating complex financial models as well as developing analysis and management reporting
  • Serving as a power-user for applicable financial systems and applications (SAP
  • Interacting with cross-functional teams and various management levels
  • Using critical thinking in decision making process to draw upon professional experience, market and industry knowledge, data and intuition
  • Conducting ad hoc financial analysis as required
  • Independently understanding and applying best practice financial reporting to meet the requirements of management, external authorities and the stakeholders of the Company


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting, Financial, or equivalent business function analysis
  • Proven knowledge of financial accounting standards and GAAP
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities and the capability to plan own work and respect deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to make judgments based on analysis of factual information, practice and previous experience/reasonable assumptions
  • Excellent interpersonal (written and verbal) communications skills with a demonstrated ability to work across functions & cultures, and interact with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability as a dynamic self-starter, to work independently and apply sound judgment to solve complex problems with incomplete and/or ambiguous information and proactively initiate action steps
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects at once, work under pressure, apply judgment and ask for aid in prioritizing as applicable
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to resolve issues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
  • Knowledge of SAP design, transactions, R3 and BW reporting capabilities is a plus.
  • Experience in manufacturing environment or other supply chain/costing area
  • Experience with transaction & reporting systems including, but not limited to Hyperion, SAP, Business Warehouse or other local systems
  • Excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of different financial and analytical techniques
