Quality Assurance Manager

Our chosen candidate will manage Quality Assurance department resources to effectively meet program and company requirements, including staffing, training, certifications, assignments, schedules and work efficiency. Candidate must possess outstanding ability to work in collaborative environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement the Quality Engineering, Control and Assurance programs to insure product conformance, reliability and consistency. Maintain and support improvement in our QMS.
  • Manage and coach the Quality Engineers Mentor, drive performance. Develop and provide Quality function specific training. Set role and performance expectations.
  • Continue to develop a Supplier Quality organization within the business, establishing goals and implementing industry best practices. Monitor and guide effective use of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Create, implement and continuously improve department standards to assure alignment to the QMS, system compliance success and customer requirements.
  • Generate and review metrics, trends, action plans, preventive action plans, analyze misses, and risk & opportunities management. Set goals and align metrics to business strategies. Collect, review, communicate and report quality performance data.
  • Collaborate with other functional organizations and business segments to assure strategic objectives are met.
  • Drive timely and clear communication and recommendations. Drive data-based decision making.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS Degree required. Engineering-Sciences degree with 5 years of experience within a Quality Assurance/Engineering organization preferred. Exposure to manufacturing process development and optimization in a production/factory floor environment.
  • Must have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely and be able to operate effectively in a team environment.
  • SPC (Statistical Process Control) experience is preferred.
  • Functional knowledge of Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA),
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (AS9100, ISO9001) is a plus.
  • Ability to partner with other Production Operation teams as well as external suppliers and vendors to management to requirements.
