Regional Sales Manager

The person holding this position is under the responsibility of Director of Sales 

Job Summary

The main objective of this position is:

  • Provide sales, marketing and merchandising leadership to our customers

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

For all the tasks under your responsibility, ensure their conformity in order to insure quality of the products and food safety. Advise QA department of all deviance.

Regional Sales Manager tasks:

  • Strategic planning, executing, evaluation and presentation of customer specific marketing initiatives and R&D projects
  • Develop and maintain contacts at appropriate levels within your assigned accounts to influence decisions
  • Take a leadership role in seeking out and developing new opportunities to grow the company’s products sales and profits with your area
  • Develop annual business plans for customers maximizing business opportunities, driving profitable growth.
  • Utilize knowledge of your market and key contacts to gain access to potential new customers.
  • Sell more to existing customers and expand the base of business by selling to new customers
  • Analyze category, industry and competitive trends to recommend proactive plans to grow and defend sales and profits
  • Initiate, communicate and see to fruition major projects and rollouts
  • When necessary recruit and manage brokers to meet sales objectives in specified geographic areas

Technical skills

  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Products, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outook
  • Ability to demonstrate aggressive sales abilities and results
  • Follow all safety, health, environmental and company rules
  • Understand and follow GMP’s
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP’s and BRC

Knowledge & other requirements

  • 5 to 15 years’ experience in Sales, preferably in the Industrial Baking industry
  • Must show a working knowledge of marketing, analytics and/or research

Academic requirements/ Education

  • 4-year degree preferred but not required

Working conditions

  • Ability to work on your own based out of your home office
  • Travel as needed 50-70%
