Job Description

Our area manufacturing company is a leader in their industry producing several well-known consumer products. Recent expansion and capital improvements has created an immediate need for a senior buyer/planner.  The qualified individual will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and interfacing with production supervisors and customer reps.

Responsibilities:

  • Process purchase orders and requisitions.
  • Follow up and expedite deliveries on newly issued purchase orders.
  • Evaluate product data sheets for material substitutions and cost reduction activities.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of stock components to support production.
  • Work with the engineering department regarding changes to BOM’s.
  • Maintain the MRP system.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree or equivalent experience.
  • Previous ERP or MRP experience required.
  • Must be detail oriented.
