Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer

Kane Partners has been awarded a search with a leading heavy industry manufacturing company, to source a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to manage and advance their manufacturing business processes. This senior-level position will be responsible for supporting, developing, and implementing new and existing manufacturing processes to reduce cost, improve reliability and throughput rates, and increase Ferrous and Non Ferrous metal yields at each of the company’s facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate and improve on manufacturing system processes
  • Develop requirements, design, implement and support of these manufacturing systems
  • Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, and reducing costs and changeovers
  • Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of the production process
  • Advise on corrective actions and provide high level engineering expertise in resolving plant operation problems
  • Issue and review design package for modifications and improvements and follow-up the execution plan as required
  • Participate in investigation teams for analysis of plant or equipment issues and come up with applicable recommendations
  • Provide required support to the Operations & Maintenance Divisions as required
  • Work with vendors as necessary to resolve problems, plan upgrades, or implement technology
  • Help develop detailed requirements specification and implementation support

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of proven experience in manufacturing process engineering role
  • Excellent technical skills
  • Proven leadership and communication success up through the C level
  • CAD or AutoCAD skills
  • Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills
  • Proactive project management skills
  • Must be comfortable with integrating new technology into an existing business environment
  • Must be comfortable with equipment/material handling

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Industrial/Electrical Engineering
